Description
Overview
A floor-standing cabinet puts the work surface at 750 mm and the cabinet on its own frame, which is what you want when the cabinet is part of a cleanroom fit-out rather than an addition to a bench. There is room underneath for a vacuum pump, and the service access is at the front rather than the side.
The range runs from 2 ft to 6 ft, with a manual sash on the standard models and a motorised sash on the HA configuration. All versions are tested to EN 12469 and carry CE marking; the NA configuration is built for NSF/ANSI 49 markets.
It is the cabinet we supply into pharmaceutical cleanrooms and high-use academic laboratories, where the cabinet is specified from the room drawing rather than from a catalogue page.
Key features
- 750 mm work surface. Seated or standing operation without a separate bench, which is how most cleanroom suites are planned.
- Manual or motorised sash. Standard models use a counterbalanced manual sash; the HA configuration adds a motorised sash with anti-pinch.
- EN 12469 and NSF 49 configurations. The same cabinet is available with either certification, so a European tender and a US protocol can be served from one platform.
- Front service access. Filters and blower are reached from the front, so the cabinet does not have to be pulled out of a cleanroom wall.

Where you would install it
- Pharmaceutical cleanrooms. Floor-standing cabinets planned into the room rather than added to a bench.
- High-use academic laboratories. A cabinet that can take a pump underneath and be serviced from the front.
- Public tenders. EN 12469 certification with CE marking for European procurement.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between GL, NA and HA?
GL is the CE/EN 12469 configuration with a manual sash, NA is the NSF/ANSI 49 configuration for North America, and HA adds a motorised sash.
Does it need to be fixed to the floor?
It stands on levelling feet and castors and does not need floor fixing, though we recommend a seismic restraint in seismically active regions.
