APPLICATIONS

High-Temperature Drying Ovens Applications & Use Cases

Application-led selection for real laboratory workflows.

Loading, heat soak and operator safety

A 500 °C chamber stores significant heat. The load must be positioned for airflow, the shelf load must be respected, and the door must not be opened at temperature without suitable protection and procedure.

Plan the circuit and the documentation

The 2,000–7,500 W ratings require a dedicated circuit and a review of the laboratory electrical capacity. Calibration, over-temperature protection and a clear operating procedure are part of the delivered system.

PERFORMANCE & SELECTION

High-temperature work is a different category

Aging, annealing, heat treatment and high-temperature drying place much greater demands on the chamber alloy, insulation, door seal, fan and heater than routine 200–300 °C work. The RGW-D range uses 316L stainless steel for the chamber and shelves.

  • Confirm the actual process temperature and soak time
  • Check whether the load releases smoke, oil or solvent
  • Do not assume a standard oven is suitable for 500 °C

CONFIGURATION & COMPATIBILITY

316L is selected for a reason

316L stainless steel offers better high-temperature and corrosion resistance than 201 or 304 in many environments, but it is not immune to every chemical. The door seal, fan shaft and heater are also part of the high-temperature boundary.

  • Confirm chamber and shelf alloy for the load
  • Review gasket and insulation condition as service items
  • Keep incompatible salts, acids and solvents out of the chamber
