APPLICATIONS

Drying Ovens Applications & Use Cases

Application-led selection for real laboratory workflows.

Specify the chamber and the installation

Chamber material, shelf load, door opening, port size, power supply and floor space all affect whether an oven can be used as intended. A 300 °C oven should not be asked to perform a 500 °C process, and an ATEX chamber should not be selected without reviewing the complete solvent system.

Use reference prices as a budget range

Published marketplace prices usually describe one model, one configuration or a quantity tier. They are useful for early budgeting but do not replace a configuration-specific quotation that includes the chamber, controller, pump, documentation, delivery and installation scope.

PERFORMANCE & SELECTION

Start with the load, not the catalogue size

A drying oven is only correctly sized when the sample form, batch mass, shelf arrangement and allowable temperature are known. A nominal chamber volume does not guarantee that a large tray or a small sample will dry evenly.

  • Define the material, solvent or water content and maximum safe temperature
  • Measure the tray, basket or glassware envelope before selecting a chamber
  • Allow free space around the load for air, radiant heat or vacuum conductance
Start with the load, not the catalogue size
CONFIGURATION & COMPATIBILITY

Compare the heat-transfer method

Forced-air ovens remove moisture with a controlled hot-air stream. Vacuum ovens reduce the boiling point and limit oxidation. Far-infrared ovens transfer radiant energy directly, while cleanroom ovens add HEPA filtration and explosion-proof vacuum ovens add solvent-rated safety architecture.

  • Forced air for routine glassware, powders and heat treatment
  • Vacuum for heat-sensitive, oxidizable or air-sensitive samples
  • Far-infrared for fast radiant drying
  • cleanroom for particle-sensitive parts
