Horizontal Laminar Flow
A horizontal laminar flow hood (also called a horizontal laminar flow cabinet or horizontal clean bench) blows HEPA/ULPA filtered air horizontally from the back wall toward the operator. The crossflow pattern minimises turbulence over the work surface, which makes horizontal flow hoods the preferred choice for precision weighing, electronics and optical assembly, and non-hazardous sterile work where the operator does not need to reach over the material. Available in benchtop and floor-standing formats from 2ft to 6ft.
