Growth Chambers
A plant growth chamber is a light instrument as much as a climate instrument: germination, vegetative growth and flowering are keyed to light spectrum, intensity and photoperiod. The WSHLab GZX lighting growth chamber pairs LED full-spectrum lighting with 10–60°C temperature control, so the light recipe and the climate run on one controller. Three capacities — 150L, 250L and 400L — carry the workload from seed germination trials to standing plant studies. The LED source is adjustable in intensity across the full spectrum, the chamber is 304 stainless behind a tempered glass window, and multi-segment programmes reproduce the day/night photoperiods a protocol demands. For laboratories running germination counts, Arabidopsis or seedling uniformity studies, growth chambers are the controlled alternative to a greenhouse bench: same light, same climate, every day of the year. Tell us the species and the photoperiod and we will confirm the light configuration and quote the chamber.

Engineering the GZX growth platform
The GZX series combines a compressor-cooled 10–60°C workspace with an LED full-spectrum light engine and microcomputer control. The 304 stainless chamber has rounded corners and a tempered glass door window; shelving is adjustable for trays, jars and standing plants, and the light and temperature programmes run together on one controller.

What is a growth chamber?
A growth chamber — a plant growth chamber or illuminated chamber — is a temperature-controlled enclosure with lighting engineered for plant protocols. The WSHLab GZX series puts LED full-spectrum light with adjustable intensity above a 10–60°C controlled workspace, so germination, culture and photoperiod studies run under documented conditions year-round.
- LED full-spectrum lighting, adjustable intensity, plant-facing geometry
- 10–60°C temperature control for germination and growth phases
- 150L, 250L and 400L capacities with adjustable shelving
- Multi-segment programmes for photoperiod studies
LED full-spectrum lighting
Chlorophyll does not run on one wavelength, and neither do germination protocols. The GZX light engine delivers a full spectrum with adjustable intensity, so a study can run continuous light, a 16/8 photoperiod or any segmented regime, with the illumination documented alongside temperature. An LED source holds its output for years without lamp changes, so the light recipe stays as written.
- Full-spectrum output tuned for photosynthesis, not generic white light
- Adjustable intensity for light-stress and low-light protocols
- Programmable photoperiods on the chamber controller
- LED lifetime keeps the light recipe stable across long studies

Growth Chambers: frequently asked questions
The questions buyers ask most often when specifying Growth Chambers, answered by our technical team.
What light spectrum does the chamber provide?
A full-spectrum LED output tuned for photosynthesis, with adjustable intensity and programmable photoperiods — continuous light or segmented day/night regimes.
What sizes are available?
150L, 250L and 400L, all with adjustable shelving and the 304 stainless chamber behind a tempered glass window.
What is the temperature range?
10–60°C under microcomputer control — covering germination through warm-growing species.
Can it run seed germination tests?
Yes — germination testing is a core use: standard light, steady temperature and adjustable shelving for replicate trays, with the conditions logged for the study record.
