Mammalian cell culture — adherent and suspension lines at 37°C / 5% CO₂
±0.3°C, IR sensor, HEPA option
A CO₂ incubator keeps mammalian cells alive by holding three variables in a narrow band: temperature near 37°C, CO₂ at 5% to buffer the culture medium, and humidity high enough that the medium does not evaporate. Everything else — the sensor, the heating geometry, the chamber finish — exists to keep those three numbers from drifting while nobody is watching. WSHLab BPN CO₂ incubators use a direct heat design: heating elements wrapped around the chamber recover temperature fast after a door opening, without a water jacket to fill, treat and leak. An imported infrared CO₂ sensor measures concentration directly — unaffected by humidity and temperature drift — and a 7-inch touchscreen shows live temperature and CO₂ curves with CSV/PDF export for your lab notebook. The 304 stainless chamber has rounded corners and a detachable shelf system for cleaning between cell lines. Two chamber sizes — 80L and 160L — cover a single-well plate workload up to a multi-user cell culture room. If your work needs controlled oxygen or shaking, talk to us about alternatives; if it needs stable 37°C and 5% CO₂, this is the machine.
Heating elements bonded to all six faces of a 304 stainless chamber, an imported IR sensor watching CO₂ optically, an SMC solenoid valve metering gas, and a 7-inch touchscreen logging it all at one-minute intervals. That is the whole recipe — executed with components that hold their calibration.
One direct-heat platform, two chamber sizes, every mammalian culture workflow.

A carbon dioxide incubator is a cell culture incubator that controls temperature and CO₂ concentration simultaneously, maintaining the physiological pH of carbonate-buffered media. Air inside the chamber is enriched with CO₂ from a gas cylinder through a solenoid valve, measured by an IR or TC sensor, and the chamber is heated and humidified so cultures can run undisturbed for days. It is the standard tool for mammalian cell culture, tissue culture, IVF-adjacent work and hybridoma maintenance.
There are two ways to warm the chamber. A water jacket circulates heated water around the chamber walls — slow to change, excellent at holding temperature through a power cut, but heavy, and the jacket eventually needs draining and treating. A direct heat (air jacket) design bonds heating elements to the chamber walls directly — lighter, faster to recover after a door opening, and with one less fluid system to maintain. WSHLab BPN incubators are direct heat: for most cell culture labs, faster recovery and lower maintenance outweigh the rarer use-case of a long power cut.
Product names, model numbers, SKUs and option identifiers keep quotations, orders and internal records aligned.
The data your PI and your auditor will both want is on the touchscreen, exportable to USB.
Every BPN runs a 48-hour simulated culture hold before shipping: temperature uniformity, CO₂ recovery after door openings, valve and sensor calibration.
Direct heat, optical CO₂ sensing and a cleanable stainless chamber — the three decisions that decide whether a CO₂ incubator holds its setpoints for years.

A CO₂ incubator needs a gas cylinder, a stable bench and an hour of commissioning.

The questions buyers ask most often when specifying CO₂ Incubators, answered by our technical team.
0–20% CO₂ with 0.1% resolution, measured by an imported infrared sensor and metered through an SMC solenoid valve. The standard cell culture setpoint is 5%; the range covers specialty media requirements above that.
RT+5~60°C with ±0.3°C fluctuation at 37°C. Heating is direct — elements bonded to the chamber walls — so temperature recovers quickly after door openings.
IR (infrared) as standard on every BPN model. Unlike thermal-conductivity sensors, the IR reading is unaffected by chamber humidity and temperature, which keeps medium pH stable over long runs.
Yes — HEPA filtration of the chamber atmosphere is available, alongside a UV-C decontamination option and autoclave-compatible shelves, for labs running multiple cell lines in one unit.
80L and 160L. Both share the same 7-inch touchscreen, IR sensor, 304 stainless chamber and CSV/PDF data export; the 160L adds shelf capacity for multi-user culture rooms.
Tell us your culture volume, your CO₂ setpoint and whether you need HEPA or UV-C options — we will configure the right BPN and quote within one working day.
