Bacteriology — plate culture and identification incubations at 30-37°C
over-temp alarm for overnight runs
Most incubator work is simple: hold one temperature above ambient, hold it exactly, and do it every day without ceremony. A plate of E. coli at 37°C, a batch of yeast at 30°C, seed viability checks, general biological culture — none of it needs refrigeration, CO₂ or humidity. It needs a reliable heated box with a digital controller and an alarm. WSHLab DHP electric thermostatic incubators are that machine, built the WSHLab way: a microcomputer digital controller with 0.1°C resolution and over-temperature protection, a double-layer tempered glass window so the load is visible without opening the door, and a corrosion-resistant interior in stainless or galvanised steel with rounded corners and adjustable shelves. Six chamber sizes run from a 50L benchtop to a 500L floor-standing cabinet. If a protocol needs sub-ambient temperatures — BOD5 at 20°C, mould enumeration — step up to the SPX refrigerated incubator. For everything above room temperature, this is the workhorse.
One heating circuit, one microcomputer controller, one glass window — an incubator reduced to the essentials and executed properly, with the chamber materials and shelf system a daily-use machine actually needs.
The everyday incubator for culture work above ambient.

A thermostatic incubator — a constant temperature incubator or heating incubator — controls exactly one variable: temperature, above ambient, held constant. The DHP covers RT+5~65°C with a microcomputer digital controller: set the setpoint, set the timer, and the chamber holds it with 0.1°C resolution and an independent over-temperature alarm. No refrigeration circuit, no gas, no humidifier — one job, done reliably.
A refrigerated incubator spends energy and maintenance on a compressor you may never use. A heated-only design deletes all of it: no compressor to fail, no condensation management, lower purchase price and lower running cost. The trade-off is the floor setpoint — RT+5°C, meaning about 30°C in a 25°C room — which is exactly where routine bacteriology lives anyway. For 35–37°C plate culture, heated-only is not a compromise; it is the right machine.
Product names, model numbers, SKUs and option identifiers keep quotations, orders and internal records aligned.
Simple machine, proper records: factory test report and serial traceability with every unit.
Every DHP runs a 24-hour hold at 37°C with logged uniformity before shipping.
No compressor, no gas, no humidifier — one setpoint held exactly, at the lowest cost of ownership in the range.

Unbox, level, plug in, set the setpoint — a heated incubator is the simplest instrument in the lab to commission.

The questions buyers ask most often when specifying Electric Thermostatic Incubators, answered by our technical team.
No — it is heated only, covering RT+5~65°C. For setpoints at or below ambient (BOD5 at 20°C, mould enumeration), choose the SPX refrigerated biochemistry incubator.
RT+5~65°C with 0.1°C resolution — in practice 30°C to 65°C setpoints in a typical 20-25°C laboratory, with ±0.5°C fluctuation and an over-temperature alarm.
50L, 80L, 160L, 250L, 350L and 500L — benchtop at the small end, floor-standing from 250L, all with the same controller and window.
Both options are available across the range. Stainless steel suits wet and corrosion-prone work; galvanised steel keeps the cost down for routine dry loads.
Yes — microcomputer digital control with LED display, timer, self-tuning and an independent over-temperature alarm. Simple to hand to a rotating roster of users.
Tell us your setpoints and your daily plate load — we will size the DHP chamber, quote the interior material that fits your work, and include delivery within one working day's reply.
