Description

Overview

The PP-P1 benchtop exhaust hood is point-source capture in corrosion-proof plastic: an 8mm welded PP body with a 5mm PP interior, a tempered glass sash and a compact 1200/1500/1800 × 750mm footprint that sits directly at the source — a hotplate, an etch bath, a staining station.

Exhaust volumes run 1152-1843 m³/h by width — a fraction of a full hood’s demand — because proximity does the work: the closer the capture opening sits to the generation point, the less air it takes to control the fume. Acid vapours and light corrosive loads never touch metal.

Use it where the source is defined and local: etching steps, small digestions, odour control at decanting stations. When the work spreads across the bench, step up to a full PP fume hood — we quote both and let the process decide.

Key features

  • 8mm welded PP body. corrosion-proof capture for light acid and alkali fumes
  • Compact 750mm bench depth. point-source capture without surrendering the bench
  • Tempered glass sash. visibility of the work with the sash discipline of the hood series
  • Exhaust 1152-1843 m³/h. right-sized airflow at a fraction of full-hood demand
  • LCD control panel. splash-proof controls with LED lighting in the chamber
  • PP duct options. matched polypropylene ductwork for corrosive runs
  • Factory airflow check. face velocity verified before dispatch

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

PP Benchtop Exhaust Hood: frequently asked questions

The questions buyers ask most often when specifying PP Benchtop Exhaust Hood, answered by our technical team.

How is it different from a fume hood?

It is a compact point-source extractor — shallower, lighter, lower exhaust demand — for defined bench sources. Full fume hoods take over when the work spreads.

What sizes?

1200, 1500 and 1800mm widths at a 750mm bench depth.

What exhaust volume?

1152 / 1497 / 1843 m³/h by width — with the duct schedule quoted.
