Description
Overview
The RZF is the horizontal vacuum oven that sits on the bench and does the delicate work: a bench top vacuum oven from 20L to 210L that pulls below 133 Pa and holds RT+10°C to 250°C under PID control. Because the chamber is sealed and the wrap-around heater band warms the walls above the vapour dew point, solvents leave your sample instead of condensing on the lid — and powders stay exactly where you put them, undisturbed by any airflow.
Every model carries a digital vacuum gauge on the control panel, a silicone seal rated for continuous duty, and a double-layer glass door for safe observation mid-run. The small vacuum oven sizes (20L, 50L) handle research batches; the 90L and 210L take full trays of pharmaceutical or electronics work.
The gas port is standard: pull a vacuum, backfill with nitrogen, and the same oven runs as a vacuum nitrogen oven for oxygen-sensitive materials. Tell us your solvent and sample ceiling and we will match the pump — or supply the oven alone if your lab already owns one.
Key features
- <133 Pa ultimate vacuum. sealed stainless chamber with a thick silicone gasket, leak-down tested before shipping
- Wrap-around heating. chamber walls stay above the vapour dew point — no internal condensation, no drips back onto samples
- Digital vacuum gauge. working vacuum displayed throughout the run, next to the PID temperature controller
- Double-layer glass door. observe the load without breaking vacuum
- Standard gas purge port. nitrogen or argon backfill for inert-atmosphere work
- Chamber options. galvanised, 201 stainless or 304 stainless with rounded corners
- Over-temperature alarm. independent protection for unattended low-temperature runs

Where you would install it
- Heat-sensitive pharmaceutical drying. extracts and intermediates dried below their decomposition window
- Electronics component drying. moisture removal without oxidation before sealing or conformal coating
- Solvent removal and recovery. vapour exits through the pump line to a cold trap, not into the lab
- Oxidation-sensitive materials. nitrogen backfill protects catalysts, powders and reduced compounds
Frequently asked questions
What vacuum level does it reach?
Better than 133 Pa with a correctly matched two-stage rotary vane pump. The leak-down test on your unit is documented before shipping.
Does it include a vacuum pump?
No — the pump is optional, and we supply pumps matched to the chamber size so you do not have to guess pumping speed.
Can I monitor vacuum digitally?
Yes — a digital vacuum gauge is standard on the control panel, alongside the PID temperature controller.
What sizes are available?
20L, 50L, 90L and 210L, all benchtop with a horizontal door and 2-3 shelves.
Is the chamber 304 stainless?
The C configuration uses a 304 stainless chamber; 201 stainless and galvanised are available for non-corrosive loads.
