Description
Overview
The DHP is the incubator most labs actually use most: one temperature, above ambient, held exactly, day after day. Microcomputer digital control with 0.1°C resolution and an independent over-temperature alarm; a double-layer tempered glass window so daily checks are a glance; and an interior in your choice of stainless steel for wet work or galvanised steel for cost-sensitive routine loads.
There is no compressor, no gas fitting, no humidifier — which is the point. A heated-only constant temperature incubator has fewer failure modes, lower running cost and a lower purchase price, and for the setpoints routine bacteriology lives at (30°C, 35°C, 37°C), heated-only is not a compromise at all. RT+5~65°C covers it with room to spare.
Six chambers run from a 50L benchtop to a 500L floor-standing cabinet, with adjustable shelves that absorb mixed plate and flask loads. When a protocol finally does need sub-ambient temperatures — BOD5, mould enumeration — the SPX refrigerated incubator takes over; until then, this is the workhorse.
Key features
- RT+5~65°C constant temperature. 0.1°C resolution with microcomputer digital control and self-tuning
- Independent over-temperature alarm. a separate protection circuit guards overnight and weekend runs
- Double-layer tempered glass window. inspect the load without opening the door and losing stability
- Stainless or galvanized interior. choose 304 stainless for wet and corrosion-prone work, galvanised for routine dry loads
- Adjustable removable shelves. mixed plate and flask geometries fit without re-planning the chamber
- Heated-only design. no compressor or gas circuit — lower cost, lower maintenance, fewer failure modes
- Digital incubator simplicity. set setpoint and timer, hand it to a rotating roster of users

Frequently asked questions
What sizes does the DHP come in?
50L, 80L, 160L, 250L, 350L and 500L — benchtop at the small end, floor-standing from 250L, all with the same controller and glass window.
What temperature range does it cover?
RT+5~65°C — in a 20-25°C lab that means 30-65°C setpoints with ±0.5°C fluctuation, covering routine bacteriology comfortably.
What is the interior material?
Both options exist across the range: stainless steel for wet, corrosion-prone work; galvanised steel for lower-cost routine loads.
Does it have a window?
Yes — a double-layer tempered glass observation window, so checks don’t cost the chamber its stability.
Does it have refrigeration?
No — heated only. For BOD5 at 20°C or mould enumeration, the SPX biochemistry incubator is the refrigerated step up.
